One of the standout places was Pensionat Styrsö Skäret on the island of Styrsö, just outside Gothenburg. This guesthouse provided the perfect balance of seclusion and access to the city. The location felt incredibly safe, surrounded by nature, with minimal traffic, making it perfect for evening strolls with my partner. The rooms were cozy, decorated in a charming Scandinavian style, and offered amazing views of the sea. What I loved most was the welcoming atmosphere; the staff went out of their way to make us feel at home.
Another wonderful stay was at Nääs Fabriker Hotel & Restaurant near Gothenburg. This guesthouse is a former textile factory, now turned into a beautiful boutique hotel. The rooms were modern, but the building retained its historical charm. It’s located in a quiet area, making it perfect for couples looking for peace and privacy. The hotel’s emphasis on sustainability and local food made our experience even more memorable. Plus, the staff was very attentive, ensuring that we felt safe and well taken care of throughout our stay.
